Vice President
The position of Vice President at BlackRock in New York involves evaluating and executing infrastructure investments across various sectors, including energy, transportation, and digitalization. The Vice President will be part of the investment management team and will be responsible for analyzing investment opportunities, managing risks, and monitoring portfolios.
Tasks
- Assistance with the evaluation and implementation of infrastructure investment opportunities in the areas of energy, transportation, digitalization, water, and waste.
- Conducting market research, financial modeling and analysis, as well as risk assessment and management.
- Collaborate with the investment management team on infrastructure investments following acquisitions, including monitoring the performance of key value drivers, conducting valuations, assessing project execution and risks, and tracking the group’s investment performance.
- Collaborate with senior staff on matters related to new platform investments, add-on positions, and portfolio- and asset-level investments.
- Providing new investment opportunities, from market valuation to competitive positioning, through to the initial signing and deal structuring.
- Conducting due diligence on deals under consideration, including business due diligence, risk assessment, and management of external consultants.
- Developing robust, flexible financial models to support investment and portfolio management efforts.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses and providing insights on investment transactions.
- Providing hands-on support to portfolio companies.
Requirements
- A degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related field (investment banking associate, investment banking analyst, or a similar role).
- At least 5 years of experience with infrastructure investments in the areas of energy transition, digital infrastructure, and renewable energy.
- Skills in corporate research, such as producing in-depth research reports on the U.S. electricity and renewable energy markets, energy and natural resources, as well as industry and company analysis.
