**Vice President**

BlackRock is seeking a Vice President for the Cash Operations team who will be responsible for overseeing settlement and exception processes and leading a team. The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in the financial services sector and 5 years of team leadership experience.

Team overview and job purpose

The Cash Operations-The Group provides control over the investment process by ensuring compliance with investment guidelines, accounting and regulatory requirements. The Group supports all of BlackRock's investment products.

Tasks

  • Ensuring that all reconciliation and accounting processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the US, EMEA and APAC to identify and drive process improvements
  • Identification and escalation of problems for resolution, troubleshooting and root cause identification
  • All facets of people management are to be performed, including: coaching and development of employees, leadership and motivation as well as goal setting, 1:1 meetings, mid-year and annual appraisals
  • Key input to the management team to ensure staffing levels are appropriate and succession plans are assessed
  • Daily review of cash exceptions and collaboration with the team
  • Identification, management and implementation of projects
  • Accurately record metrics to enable efficiency
  • Driving efficiency and effectiveness: leading projects to improve accuracy/quality and exception management

Requirements

  • At least 7 years' experience in the financial services sector and good knowledge of financial markets, preferably in investment management, fund accounting or global custodianship
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading teams of professionals, personnel development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and other programming languages
  • Strong, effective analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, internally and externally
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize goals and time
  • Demonstration of strategic thinking within the company
  • Excellent decision-making skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong initiative to pursue outstanding issues - identify what needs to be done, take action and follow through to resolution
