Vice President, Data Communications – Internal Audit Strategy, Analytics, & Operations

Job Description

Internal Audit’s primary mission is to provide assurance that BlackRock’s business is well managed and is achieving its strategic, operational, and risk management objectives. The Vice President will be a key leader of the Internal Audit team and will report directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Strategy, Analytics & Operations (SAO)

SAO is responsible for the Internal Audit platform, which provides disciplined management, quality assurance and improvement, as well as executive communication and reporting, while driving strategic transformations to support audit delivery through data analysis and engineering solutions.

Specific responsibilities

* **Data Reliability**: Analyze and improve audit data structures and the design of data extraction and reporting tools, as well as data reliability. * **Well-Designed Visualizations and Data**: Oversee and contribute to the design and creation of Power BI dashboards, charts, graphs, and diagrams that effectively communicate audit results to internal and external stakeholders. * **Application Management**: Overseeing the management of DataPro for internal use to improve the efficiency of auditor workflows and enhance data quality and reporting impact. * **Continuous Improvement**: Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in reporting workflows and application processes, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and APIs.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in data science, mathematics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field required * 8+ years of relevant professional experience in reporting, marketing, operations, or another related field * Experience leading projects or teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment * Proven track record of distilling complex information into clear, concise reports * Strong understanding of data relationships and hands-on experience building automated reporting solutions * Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word * Experience with workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
