Vice President, eFX Quantitative Research

Nomura is seeking a Vice President of eFX Quantitative Research to develop and implement innovative algorithms and signals for the eFX business. The focus is on modeling and monitoring quantitative models for electronic FX transactions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our eFX business as an eFX Quant. This role is integral to the modeling team, which forms the backbone of our eFX operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Idea Generation and Development:
    • Create innovative algorithms and signals for the eFX business
    • Conduct thorough calibration, backtesting, and stress testing of new models
  • Collaboration with Development Team:
    • Work closely with developers to implement ideas into production if ideas are worth transition from concept to operational status
  • Post-Deployment Monitoring:
    • Oversee the performance of implemented models
    • Conduct regular assessments and propose refinements as needed
