Vice President, Institutional Relationship Manager

BlackRock is seeking a Vice President, Institutional Relationship Manager, to manage relationships with institutional clients and develop and implement a cross-selling strategy. The candidate must have over 10 years of experience in institutional fundraising and be fluent in English and French.

Tasks

The role involves the following tasks:
  • Development and implementation of a cross-selling strategy that leverages the entire platform
  • Providing new research findings, scalable platforms, products, and solutions
  • Development and implementation of a long-term customer project and engagement strategy
  • Managing brands and sales territories to ensure that the brand does not become overly commoditized
  • Providing thought leadership to spark conversations and maximize commercial impact
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers
  • Collaboration within BlackRock to ensure integration with other groups
  • Management of support staff or assigned customer accounts
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their career development
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure cross-selling and coverage

Requirements

The following requirements are necessary:
  • Over 10 years of extensive experience in institutional fundraising, with a strong track record in sales and client acquisition and a proven track record of success
  • Relevant regulatory expertise, academic degree, CFA charterholder
  • Collaboration and expertise to build a scalable sales model
  • Strong understanding of the asset management business
  • In-depth industry and investment expertise, along with a strong understanding of and awareness regarding key issues affecting the financial markets
  • Ability to build and maintain medium- and long-term relationships with customers by demonstrating a clear understanding of the market and delivering compelling presentations to large audiences
  • Feeling comfortable in a multicultural environment while meeting sales targets
  • Comfortable when working on confidential and high-stakes investment discussions
  • A passion for innovation through technological development
  • Flexibility to travel (heavy travel and workload)
