About the role

As Vice President in the Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens, you will play a leading role in executing and overseeing complex transactions (debt, equity, hybrid) in the maritime/offshore sector. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients (shipping companies, financial institutions, investors), lead transaction teams, and make a significant contribution to business development and deal origination, under the guidance of directors and managing partners.

Tasks

- Lead the execution of key mandates: structuring and executing debt, equity, and hybrid financing, as well as M&A and restructuring transactions in the maritime/offshore sector. - Oversee the development of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario/sensitivity analyses for ship, fleet, and corporate financing structures. - Oversee the preparation of investment memoranda, offers, investor materials, and presentations—lead the team and ensure high-quality output. - Serve as the primary client contact in numerous transactions: engage with shipping companies, banks, direct lenders, funds, private equity firms, and other investors.

Requirements

- Typically 5–8+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, structured finance, merchant banking, or investment management, with significant exposure to the shipping, transportation, oil and gas, or offshore sectors. - A strong track record of executing complex debt and equity transactions (including hybrid instruments) in the maritime/offshore sector. - Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills; comfortable leading model development and challenging assumptions. - Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills in English; Greek language skills are desirable. - Client-focused experience: confident in interacting with senior management, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders. - Proven ability to manage deal teams, coordinate advisors, and close transactions. - Strong commercial and strategic thinking, ability to initiate new mandates, network in shipping/offshore markets, and identify opportunities. - Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
