Overview

  • Role: Vice President – Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking
  • Location: Athens, Greece

Tasks

  • Leading the execution of complex transactions (debt, equity, hybrid) in the maritime/offshore sector
  • Primary contact for clients in many transactions; communication with ship owners, financiers, investors
  • Leading transaction teams and contributing to business development and deal origination
  • Structuring and execution of debt, equity, and hybrid financing, M&A, and restructuring transactions in the maritime/offshore sector
  • Overseeing the development of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario/sensitivity work for vessels, fleets, and corporate financing structures
  • Overseeing the preparation of investment memoranda, offering documents, investor materials, and presentations

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, structured finance, merchant banking, or investment management, with significant exposure to shipping, transportation, oil & gas, or offshore sectors
  • Strong track record in executing complex debt and equity transactions (including hybrid instruments) in the maritime/offshore sector
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling and valuation; confident in leading model development and reviewing assumptions
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills in English; Greek language skills are desirable
  • Customer-focused experience: confident in interacting with senior management, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage deal teams, coordinate advisors, and close transactions
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, ability to generate new mandates, build networks in shipping/offshore markets, and identify opportunities
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management skills
