Vice President - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking
Alantra is seeking a Vice President for Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking in Athens to lead complex capital markets and M&A transactions in the shipping industry. The position requires 5–8 years of relevant experience in investment banking, as well as strong skills in financial modeling and client acquisition.

Role Description
- As Vice President on the Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens, you will serve as a key point of contact for clients (shipping companies, financial institutions, and others).
- They make a significant contribution to business development and deal origination, under the leadership of directors.
Core Responsibilities
- Leadership in the execution of major mandates: structuring and execution of debt, equity, M&A, and restructuring transactions in the maritime/offshore sector.
- Overseeing the development of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenarios for vessel, fleet, and corporate financing structures.
- Overseeing the preparation of investment memoranda, offering documents, and investor presentations—leading the team and ensuring high-quality work.
- Serves as the primary point of contact with clients in many transactions; interacts with shipping companies, banks, investment funds, private equity firms, and other investors.
- Participation in conferences and customer events.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in investment banking, structured finance, merchant banking, or investment management, with significant exposure to the shipping, transportation, and offshore sectors.
- A strong track record in executing complex debt and equity transactions (including in the maritime/offshore sector).
- Advanced skills in financial modeling and valuation; ability to lead modeling processes and question assumptions.
- Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills in English; knowledge of Greek is desirable.
- Experience in customer relations: Confident interaction with management, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage deal teams, coordinate advisors, drive transactions in the maritime and offshore markets, and identify opportunities.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
