Vice President, Private Banker
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to serve as a Private Banker in Geneva, Switzerland, who will acquire new clients and maintain existing client relationships to deliver a first-class experience for clients. The ideal candidate has experience in private banking, excellent communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Tasks
As a private banker at J.P. Morgan in Geneva, you would lead client acquisition and retention efforts by leveraging your extensive knowledge of investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning. You would also be responsible for the client experience and utilize our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.Job Responsibilities
- Generate new business and acquire new assets in Switzerland
- Advise clients on their overall financial situation, including asset allocation, investment management, financial planning, and credit and banking needs
- Collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients when necessary
- Understand client goals and objectives and develop investment plans for the entire balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, portfolio construction, and tactical shifts in asset allocation, as well as wealth planning and credit and banking needs
- Ensure that proposed solutions meet customer needs and objectives in the short, medium, and long term through a holistic, goal-oriented planning approach.
- Strictly adhere to risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures
- Collaborate with other customer advisors in the team to maximize team strength and achieve team goals
Requirements
- Extensive experience in private banking with ultra-high-net-worth individuals in Switzerland and neighboring regions, including family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs, executives, single-family offices, and foundations
- Previous experience in business development, with expertise in acquiring new clients, negotiation, and proactive recommendations
- Dynamic and credible professional who communicates with clarity and possesses exceptional presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to business management
- Experience or proven understanding of investments, banking, and fiduciary concepts, including but not limited to: asset allocation across structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and credit solutions, basic fiduciary and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities.
- Strong reputation with an established network
- Fluency in French and English; knowledge of Italian or German is a plus
Preferred qualifications
- Asset allocation / Experience with multi-asset class portfolios or sales experience is advantageous
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus
