Vice President, Private Banker

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to serve as a Private Banker in Geneva, Switzerland, who will acquire new clients and maintain existing client relationships to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in the private banking industry, excellent communication skills, and a strong network in Switzerland and the surrounding regions.

Job Summary

As a private banker at J.P. Morgan in Geneva, you would manage new client acquisitions and relationships by leveraging your extensive knowledge of investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning. You would also be responsible for the client experience and would utilize our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks include:
  • New Customer Acquisition in Switzerland
  • Advising clients on their overall financial assets, including asset allocation, investment management, financial planning, and credit and banking services
  • Collaborating with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients
  • Understanding clients' goals and objectives and developing investment plans for their entire portfolio
  • Ensuring that proposed solutions meet the needs and objectives of clients in the short, medium, and long term
  • Strict compliance with risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures
  • Collaborate with other client advisors on the team to maximize the team’s strengths and achieve team goals

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Extensive experience in private banking with ultra-high-net-worth individuals in Switzerland and the surrounding regions
  • Previous experience in business development, including expertise in acquiring new clients, negotiation, and proactive recommendations
  • Dynamic and credible personality with clear communication and outstanding presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined approach
  • Experience or a demonstrated understanding of investments, banking, trust concepts, and wealth planning
  • Strong reputation with an established network
  • Fluency in French and English; knowledge of Italian or German is a plus

Preferred qualifications

The preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience in wealth distribution or in the sale of wealth management solutions
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is an advantage
