Vice President, Senior Options Strategist

SpiderRock Advisors, a subsidiary of BlackRock, is seeking a Vice President, Senior Option Strategist, who possesses in-depth knowledge of options and advanced derivative strategies, as well as experience in sales and capital markets. The ideal candidate will take on a leadership role in developing options strategies and maintaining relationships with investment partners.

About this role

SpiderRock Advisors, LLC (“SRA”) is seeking an Options Strategist for the Boston market. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth expertise in options and advanced derivative strategies, a proven track record in sales, and a comprehensive understanding of capital markets. The role requires 10+ years of experience in asset management or the capital markets industry.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Raising assets for SRA within designated client and prospective client firms by providing advanced training and explaining complex structured products
  • A demonstration of exceptional flexibility, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Leading initiatives that enhance SRA's market position and growth

Requirements

The requirements are:
  • 10+ years of experience in asset management with a strong track record in private wealth channels (wealth management and/or RIAs)
  • CFA, CAIA, or MBA required
  • Developing and communicating complex concepts, providing accurate product information, and gathering strategic marketing data through high-level discussions with target financial advisors
  • Documentation and analysis of key business development information in CRM systems to support strategic relationship management and follow-up activities
  • Developing and monitoring daily sales plans, making high-impact business decisions regarding global prioritization and team management
  • Leading and supporting strategic marketing initiatives at the corporate and departmental levels, and working closely with senior management to drive organizational growth
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members, fostering professional development, and enhancing the team’s overall performance

remuneration

The compensation includes:
  • An annual salary of $150,000.00 to $200,000.00 for San Francisco, CA, and New York, NY
  • An annual salary of $115,000.00 to $185,000.00 for Boston, MA, and Atlanta, GA
  • An annual discretionary bonus program
