Job Description
The Preqin Client Engagement Team manages partnerships with every Preqin client and serves as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and business partner to Preqin’s client base. The team gathers client information to better understand our clients’ needs.Key Responsibilities
- As a regional team leader, manages a diverse portfolio of clients and sets the strategy for engagement, retention, and growth in the region.
- Provides leadership for direct client engagement team members, including coaching, performance management, and development, to ensure strong client outcomes.
- Responsibility for financial performance, customer relations, including engagement, customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Establish governance with senior stakeholders and executives.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ strategic goals and how Preqin can be applied in their investment processes and analyses.
- Responsible for managing the renewal process.
- Identifies upselling opportunities and collaborates with Business Development to pursue new customer targets and directly execute upselling opportunities.
- Prevents churn risks by gaining a deep understanding of customers' requirements and needs.
- Collaborate with marketing, influencer, and media teams to ensure effective campaigns that strengthen customer engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Engineering, and other teams by sharing customer feedback, issues, and trends to shape our roadmap and priorities.
- Collaborating with Aladdin and BlackRock teams on shared clients and commercial opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of sales experience in a sales or account management role in the financial services sector, alternative investments, or B2B sales.
- Proven experience in leading and scaling a sales or account management region, including the design and execution of campaigns and strategic outreach.
- Proven experience in leading, developing, and motivating large teams.
- Proven success and a track record of meeting quotas and sales targets.
- Practical knowledge of the financial market data sector, alternative assets, and the financial services industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor, with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, combined with a knack for and ability to solve problems.
- A responsible, motivated, conscientious, and results-oriented work ethic.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A desire to be a phenomenal team member who can quickly fit in and build relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
