VP - Investment Banking, Energy & Infrastructure (Madrid, Spain)

Tasks

• Participation in the execution of active mandates (buy-side and sell-side, debt and equity) with a strong focus on client needs, including: preparation of information memoranda, business plans, M&A proposals, financial models (LBO), project financing models, valuations, etc.
• Participation in marketing initiatives: Conducting market, strategy, and competitive analyses, as well as industry screenings to identify potential acquisition targets for valuation purposes, etc.
• A strong focus on the customer, with the customer's perspective at the center of project management
• A professional and credible demeanor toward customers and colleagues—building trust in all customer interactions
• Ability to identify and anticipate customer needs, as well as to plan independently and across teams
• Identifying and organizing junior staff to meet defined deadlines, with a focus on development, coaching, and empowerment
• Serving as a role model for junior team members through ongoing coaching and personal development
• Demonstrating a commercial mindset and the ability to propose ideas to senior management and for the company's future business

Requirements

• Degree from a top-tier business or engineering school / Master's degree in Corporate Finance
• 6–9 years of experience at a leading investment bank, M&A boutique, in the corporate finance sector, or at a Big Four accounting firm
• Strong financial modeling skills; ability to create detailed, fully integrated financial models
• Extensive experience with M&A and leveraged finance, as well as broad knowledge of investment banking
• English proficiency (excellent writing and speaking skills) required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and standard business and financial software
• The highest standards in personal conduct, professional performance, and business ethics
