Wealth Management Application Support Engineer

Northern Trust is seeking a Wealth Management Application Support Engineer for Chicago (IL) or Salt Lake City (UT) who, with at least 5 years of experience in application support and the financial services industry, will support the software infrastructure for wealth management clients.

Tasks

  • Collaborate on the coordination and execution of implementations of enhancements, maintenance, and changes to the software that supports the Wealth Management department.
  • Ability to effectively and proactively resolve user issues through close collaboration with external vendors/contractors, internal resources, and end users. This includes working with subject matter experts to address application issues, including data inquiries and the resolution of discrepancies.
  • A point of contact with the programming department to resolve issues that may require code changes.
  • Compliance with established procedures for submitting change requests and work orders.
  • Planning and implementing all necessary enhancements and modifications to existing systems.
  • Collaborate with business users to identify needs and potential improvements for the supporting business processes.
  • Maintenance of comprehensive documentation on product use.
  • Providing support for various system, application, and database functions.
  • Testing changes in development and production environments before going live.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in application support.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
  • Advanced understanding of investment concepts, including types of securities and complex transactions.
  • Experience with SQL and a relational database system environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented!
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; proof of documentation is required before starting work.

We offer

  • Salary range: $86,000 - $120,000
