Wealth Planning Specialist

The Wealth Planning Specialist supports clients in planning their wealth and works closely with the team to develop and implement solutions in the areas of trusts, foundations and insurance. The focus is on serving High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) in Asia.

Job description

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and EFG CROs to understand clients' wealth planning needs and objectives and identify opportunities
  • As a subject matter expert, conduct awareness trainings/discussions with EFG CROs on relevant technical product/market updates
  • Collaboration with EFG Wealth Solutions (trustee) to facilitate the establishment of EFG trust structures for clients
  • Work with all relevant parties (internal and external) to support the processing and closing of Wealth Planning cases in Asia
  • Developing and maintaining a strong network of external advisors (lawyers, tax advisors, etc.), insurance brokers and other counterparties
  • Work closely with the Head of Wealth Planning Asia in achieving, monitoring and regularly reporting on financial performance and business development efforts
  • Contribute to content for Asia for publications etc. produced by the Global Wealth Planning team

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience in the following areas:
  • Use of offshore jurisdictions and wealth planning tools such as trusts, foundations, family offices and corporations
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of HNWI insurance solutions and premium finance
  • Experience with a proven track record in managing wealth planning business, ideally in an insurance brokerage or private bank/trust company
  • University degree in law or finance discipline; additional qualifications related to the field of interest (e.g. TEP, LL.M. in tax law)

Preferred skills

  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate and give presentations to clients and private banking colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills, structured approach, strict adherence to compliance requirements
  • Languages: Mandarin and English are required
