Business IT specialist

The Swiss National Bank is looking for a business IT specialist for the development and support of central web services. The position includes the design, further development and operation of CMS-based systems as well as the analysis and implementation of complex problems in business and IT processes.

Business IT Specialist (80% to 100%)

Your contribution

  • Design, further development and operation of the CMS-based systems for the publication of information (market data, media releases, exchange rates, etc.) on the SNB website;
  • Analysis and implementation of complex problems in business and IT processes, as a software developer with the prospect of becoming a software architect;
  • Participation in code reviews and ensuring quality standards, best practices and continuous improvement of the code base;
  • Collaboration in IT projects in the subject area and coordination with specialist departments and infrastructure partners;
  • Participation in the organization of the on-call service to ensure smooth operation

Your knowledge and experience

  • University degree in (business) informatics or equivalent education;
  • Very good knowledge of software engineering, ideally also in software architecture
  • Several years of experience in the design and implementation of service-oriented applications with Java and web technologies as well as in the collaboration or management of agile projects
  • High counter-orientation and willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with complex topics and take on responsibility
  • Analytical and systematic way of working, combined with good communication skills
  • Very good written and spoken German; knowledge of English an advantage
