Business IT Specialist, HR & Processes Team

The Swiss National Bank is seeking a Business IT Specialist for the HR & Processes team to develop and maintain applications that support various stakeholders. The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and significant opportunities to shape the work within a central bank-specific IT environment.

Your tasks

  • They develop everything from individual features to entire workflows on various platforms (ITSM / IVMS)
  • You are passionate about software development, demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, and possess excellent communication skills
  • You will be technically responsible for the development environment and development guidelines, and will serve as a development expert
  • You will continuously develop existing applications and optimize them in terms of quality, performance, and maintainability
  • You will assist with projects and working groups

Your profile

  • In-depth knowledge of Java development, as well as experience with web services (SOAP; RESTful APIs) and databases
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, JSF, Angular, and React
  • In-depth knowledge of root cause analysis and debugging
  • Experience in the field of process optimization / digitalization
  • Very good knowledge of common development tools such as Visual Studio Code or Eclipse, Git, and Maven
  • Experience in managing and overseeing deployment processes to ensure efficient releases
  • Ability to work independently and meticulously, a team player, flexible, and willing to take on responsibility
  • Candidates must have at least a bachelor's degree from a university or a university of applied sciences in business informatics or information technology, or equivalent training.
  • You can communicate effectively in German, both verbally and in writing, and have a good command of English
