Job Description

The position of XVA Product Controller (Vice President) is an important part of the Product Control team. The Product Control department is a global function with employees in London, New York, India, and the Asia-Pacific region. The main responsibilities include understanding, substantiating, and controlling Nomura's daily trading balance and results, analyzing daily trading activities, and explaining the revenues and costs of the trading departments.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Management of the FVA aspect of BRM on a daily basis
  • Coordination and monitoring of global activities in Asia, Japan, and the USA
  • Administration of the Global Powai Hub in India
  • Coordination with the Global FVA Head and over 10 other BRM traders in London
  • Trade verification, daily profit and loss statement, ad hoc query resolution, KRI reporting, change management, and daily flash reports
  • Understanding, maintaining, and improving processes using XVA and control knowledge
  • Collaborate with the front office and other control functions to establish and develop control and governance functions for customized and evolving business areas.

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Experience in product control
  • Accounting qualification and/or numerical degree are desirable
  • Familiarity with credit, interest rate, and currency derivatives
