Job Description
- Based in Madrid, you will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment as part of our FIG team, specifically in the M&A area.
Responsibilities
- Having a central role in the execution and management of active mandates, from the first approach until the closing of projects, reporting financial matters to senior management, with the support of senior and junior team members, and in the transformation and supervision of financial models.
- Acting as an advisor and a key contact to investee companies and portfolio companies.
- Running and managing the execution and management of a different mandate, from deal origination to final closing of the transaction.
- Working hand-in-hand with other teams such as credit restructuring, Mezzanine and investment banking.
- Following up on projects from pitch to closing, identification of marketing ideas/alternative solutions, making them central to clients' decision-making process.
- Team player with strengths in business development, i.e. search, pitching to the corporate executives and having a direct link with the investor in search for the right financing solution to any given situation.
- Being able to identify and anticipate clients' needs, planning for themselves and the team priorities.
- Identifying and organizing junior resources to meet and deliver deadlines focused on the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Demonstrating commercial mindset and ability to suggest ideas to clients leaning on the potential future business for the firm.
- Acting as a role model to junior team members through permanent coaching and team challenge, develop and empower them.
- Having strong client exposure, making their perspective central to the management and resolution of the projects.
Requirements
- Excellent financial knowledge (accounting and company valuation) and understanding of financial statements.
- High technical skills, ability to digest large amount of complex information autonomously.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute own ideas and work autonomously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency (both written and spoken) in English and Spanish is a compulsory requirement.
- Committed, rigorous, detail-oriented attitude combined with ability to show initiative and to make decisions.
- Highest standards of personal conduct, professional performance and business ethics.
- Complete fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory.
