Assistant Manager, Fund Governance

Der Assistant Manager, Fund Governance, unterstützt den Director und Senior Managers bei der Leitung des Teams und stellt die Einhaltung von Compliance-Standards und die reibungslose Ausführung von Teamzielen sicher. Der Schwerpunkt der Stelle liegt auf der Überwachung von AML/CFT/TCPF und Compliance-Elementen sowie der Durchführung von Prüfungen und Berichten.

Job Description

The role requires you to support the Director and Senior Managers in the efficient and effective functioning of the team, providing day to day support and contributing to the effective execution of team objectives, whilst developing the skills necessary for future progression into full management responsibilities. Working closely with senior leadership and cross functional teams, you will help to ensure that processes run smoothly, compliance standards are met, and service levels are maintained. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, assists in managing workloads and priorities, and contributes to the delivery of high-quality services that enable the business to operate efficiently and effectively.

Hauptaufgaben

  • Perform your role according to procedures, taking the lead on all day-to-day activity. Assume ownership, responsibility, and accountability for AML/CFT/TCPF and Compliance elements of the services provided by EFG to clients, under limited supervision.
  • Conduct compliance testing and prepare six-monthly compliance reports for client entities for board meetings.
  • Manage CCOO (Chief Operating Officer) and Investor Due Diligence (IDD), including the completion, review, and approval of periodic reviews and trigger events, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded in the PureClient system.
  • Oversee the client periodic review process and monitor external audit points for Funds Services clients, ensuring timely clearance of identified issues.
  • Develop and maintain systems and controls, including policies and procedures, to meet Group directives, regulatory requirements, and evolving standards.
  • Deliver proactive client service while effectively managing operational and fiduciary risks; independently monitor, organise, and prioritise workload.
  • Supervise and support junior colleagues, including workflow monitoring, task delegation, and acting as a point of escalation for queries.
  • Contribute to projects and change initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement, standardisation, and increased efficiency.
  • Support colleagues and the business as needed, including tasks outside the immediate scope of your role.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, code of practice, and internal policies; assess and escalate risks to management as appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for personal development, ensuring all CPD requirements and relevant training are completed annually.

Anforderungen

  • Recognised Professional Qualification – e.g. Accountancy, Chartered Secretary, STEP, Banking, Securities, Compliance or other relevant Table5 qualification (working towards Table5) along with relevant experience in AML/CFT/TCPF and Financial Regulation.
  • 3 years’ recent finance industry experience working within an offshore financial services organisation, with a good understanding of all areas of client administration and fiduciary services.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the local finance industry, legislation and regulatory requirements in the environment in which we operate.
  • Possess a strong commitment to client service excellence
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively whilst navigating varying deadlines.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, with minimum supervision and communicate with clarity and purpose both in written and verbal forms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient in the use of a range of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of PureClient, Frontitres and/or Navision is desirable.
