Associate / VP Sustainable Solutions Group

Job Description

• Assessing external "green", "social", "sustainable" or "transition" criteria, incl. ESG ratings and relevant regulatory developments (e.g. EU Taxonomy) and applying these to ING's proposed sustainable solutions.
• Helping clients achieve their sustainability ambitions while optimizing balance sheet efficiency, capital allocation, funding, sustainability advisory and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintaining data quality, incl. populating internal databases and keeping track of market developments.

Requirements

• Client focused: client engagement is the key priority in the function and a strong commercial mindset. Maintain strong relationships with colleagues in the financial markets.
• Sustainability/Social background: solid understanding of sustainability related finance (bond lending / leasing, acquisitions, mortgages (mortgage) and sustainability related strategies or regulations).
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to fast changing environments and trends.
• Good network with external stakeholders regarding sustainable developments.
• A Master degree holder in Business, Finance or other relevant disciplines.
• Professional experience in ESG/Sustainability related content (banking, advisory, consultancy,...).
• Sustainability related content background is a plus.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
