Branch Business Manager

Der Branch Business Manager ist für die Überwachung und Umsetzung eines effektiven Risikomanagementsystems in einer Niederlassung verantwortlich und soll als unabhängiger Risiko-Berater fungieren. Die Stelle erfordert eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen Abteilungen, um ein positives Risikobewusstsein und eine angemessene Balance zwischen Geschäftswachstum und regulatorischen Anforderungen sicherzustellen.

Stellenbeschreibung: Branch Business Manager

Aufgaben

  • Act as an independent trusted risk advisor to Branch Management, assessing risk issues and clearly presenting risks to facilitate decision-making
  • Support the setup, operation and maintenance of an effective risk management framework for the Branch, in close collaboration with various stakeholders in Business, BRM or CRO functions
  • Support Branch Management in branch-wide projects and initiatives that drive positive risk culture and enhanced control framework
  • Assist Branch Management in their interactions with auditors and regulators
  • Assess and monitor risk metrics, identify thematic risks, and escalate concerns or emerging trends/ hotspots to Branch Management. This includes conducting thematic risk reviews to identify areas for control improvement and assess special topics that are tabled in risk committee
  • Oversees Branch-wide Front (APAC and non-APAC) business conduct and risk standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure close and systematic collaboration and information flow between the 1st LoD and the 2nd LoD
  • Drive a positive risk culture and awareness throughout the Branch, including delivering trainings and control/support initiatives within the front office, acting as a conduit between front and control/support units (Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology)
  • Ensure business growth objectives are achieved while maintaining an appropriate balance with regulatory requirements, risk appetite, and operational resilience

Audit Management (mainly Front Focus)

  • Support Branch Management as the point person for annual regulatory audit and Front Office audits, including preparation, coordination and alignment across functions, and ensure the factual accuracy of observations
  • Monitor remediation actions identified from audits or reviews to ensure they are carried out in accordance with the committee timeline and their effectiveness

Professionelle und Technische Anforderungen

  • University degree or equivalent education in Banking and/or Finance
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience in financial industry, preferably in Private Banking risk management, compliance, or internal audit
  • Ability to organize content, deliver ideas and recommendations in a clear and structured manner
  • Strong understanding Private Banking business and the regulatory requirements in Singapore
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to integrate different positions into viable tasks and/or actions
