About the Role
Banking & IT Operations plays a central role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for our clients & employees. As an Operations Specialist for Banking & IT Operations, you are responsible for transaction handling, client onboarding, reporting & reconciliation, and for local IT Support.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Transaction Handling:
- Process and monitor client transactions and trading orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure settlement and booking of transactions in line with internal procedures.
- Handle transaction confirmations and respond to client inquiries on operational matters.
- Client Onboarding:
- Assist Relationship Managers in the end-to-end onboarding process.
- Coordinate with Compliance and Risk teams for approvals and escalations.
- Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Prepare periodic client reports (i.e., account statements, transaction summaries).
- Support regulatory and internal reporting obligations.
- Perform daily reconciliations of client accounts, valuations, and ledgers. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, escalating issues where required.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure all operational processes are executed in line with policies and internal controls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational workflows and efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and explanations.
- IT Operations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal users, providing first-line support across systems via ticker, email, and in-person requests. Escalate complex issues to outsourced service providers to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate user lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding, hardware setup and account provisioning.
- Participate in the management of major incidents, supporting swift resolution of business-critical disruptions and effective communication with stakeholders.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 2-3 years of experience in banking operations, financial services, or crypto/ digital assets.
- Knowledge of transaction processing, trading operations, reconciliation processes, and IT service management practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience coordinating with outsourced IT service providers, including performance monitoring, SLA validation, and incident escalation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset suited to an innovative, fast-moving environment.
- Fluency in English and German (as well as additional European languages are a plus).
- Familiarity with European financial regulations (e.g., MiCAR) preferred.
- Valid Liechtenstein work permit and availability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
