Development Lead - Full-Stack Java Engineer 100% (J/m/d)

We are seeking an experienced Development Lead - Full Stack Java Engineer to join our C24 Team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across enterprise systems, including business origination, quote management, onboarding, account management, and contributing to frontend development using React and TypeScript where needed. You will also oversee the technical delivery of key initiatives, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers and QA Engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week from Home and 3 days a week from the office, based in Barcelona.

Your Goals

• Serve as an on-site manager or representative in swing time newcomers with issues emerging, addressing in agile manner, managing F&O's, and ensuring their fitment into IT solution landscape.
• Design, maintain, and enhance software solutions across different alignment with business and stakeholders' requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Teams, architects, and stakeholders to align requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and maximize business needs.
• Drive technical decision-making, establish best practices, and ensure consistency across the software platform, encompassing full code ownership.
• Apply integration and architectural principles such as Micro Services, event-driven processing, CQRS event Sourcing, and other distributed system patterns.
• Mentor and guide engineers through structured patterns, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and coaching.
• Align with Agile teams focused on roles using React for visual prototyping and UI enhancements in product workflows.
• Apply Java design patterns and engineering best practices to ensure maintainable, scalable, and high-quality code.
• Analyze complex technical challenges and define solutions, utilizing problem-solving techniques.
• Write and maintain unit/system Tests to ensure delivery of quality software, supporting continuous and reliable delivery.
• Contribute to observability, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization across backend services.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery through CI/CD pipelines and production stability.

YOU BRING

• Expert level Java development with deep experience in Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• Proven experience leading a Technical team as a Development Lead.
• Deep experience with Ecosystems, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Extensive understanding of infrastructure design and space-time patterns.
• Experience with cloud technologies including AWS and Azure, and governance.
• Strong framework of UI-level code architecture and engineering best practices.
• Experience with integration and application patterns, including flow engine, event-driven design, and CQRS event Sourcing.
• Proficient understanding and implementation of CI/CD practices, pipeline automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Fluent in the English language
