Director, Finance Technology

Role in the Mission

• As a Director, Finance Technology, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction in developing Northern Trust's Finance Technology capabilities and platforms and operationalize oversight a strong personalized understanding of how technology can support Northern Trust Finance and finance technology customers, as well as financial business strategy.
• The individual is expected to work with Finance Reporting, Regulatory Accounting, and Technology teams across the enterprise in industries of enterprise capital markets operations.
• Key areas of responsibility include Finance Technology Platforms, Reporting Accounting Jobs (Data Enablement), US RGA/ICA Data Intake, Planning & Forecasting, Risk Management, Capital Adequacy, and Technology controls.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and coordination when dealing with different Business Lines of Finance.

• Promote Finance & Capability:
  • Accounting Jobs (Data Enablement) and use governance
  • Greater data applications and data management
  • Regulatory and regulatory compliance (in collaboration with OCC)
  • State data intake, controls, and automation standards
• Status: Finance Director OTB Ops Planning & Treasury
• Risk & Regulatory Planning
• Capital Adequacy:
  • Financial Planning System
• Other Requirements and Initiatives:
  • Take early job delivery, stability, and risk of the Finance platform across Planning, ALM, Data, and Regulatory Reporting
  • Ensure platform meets regulatory, audit, SOX, and corporate governance requirements, with strong process and executability
• Business Partners:
  • Works with Finance and Treasury leadership to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable platform Finance
  • Provide strong technical detail visibility into risks, dependencies, and delivery teams
  • Engaging, Escalating & Tracking
  • Lead and develop high-performing high-performing and product focus.
  • Uses independent executive across daily operations, system upgrades, and product success
  • Reduce the personal job and improve sustainability through talent development and succession planning
• Vertical to the Organization:
  • Develop strategic policies and platform execution, ensuring quality delivery, and platform controls
  • Enforcing learning methods and platform controls, ensuring quality delivery and capacity delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Senior technology leadership experience within Finance, Accounting, or Regulatory platforms in a regulated Finance services environment.
• Strong technical foundation with your hands-on engineering or architecture experience.

• Finance operations experience in serving large enterprise company in regulated Financial services in a dynamic environment.
• Strong technical expertise and hands-on development, architecture, and integration experience across a legacy landscape.
• Experience in product management and strategy positioning, including delivery performance and cost efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, build trust, and govern performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence across Finance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders.
