Team-Überblick

The Alternative Fund Controller team is a dynamic team that oversees financial planning and accounting, provides critical accounting and control functions for the Alternative Investment platform, and leads accounting and controls across multiple teams within BlackRock.

Rolle und Verantwortung

As a Director within the Alternative Fund Controller team, you will:

• Collaborate with Alternative Operations and Private Markets leadership to improve the operating model for private funds, incorporating best-in-class processes and innovative technology
• Partner with client-facing teams to support client due diligence
• Work closely with Portfolio Management, Operations, and Client Servicing/Reporting teams to develop a robust operating model for the Alternatives platform
• Serve as the main point of contact for critical issues with our business
• Coordinate process re-engineering to identify risk areas, implement scalable solutions, and drive efficiencies
• Develop metrics to monitor business as usual (BAU) processes and produce platform-wide metrics to better understand the highest areas of risk in our oversight model
• Provide thought leadership and guide the team towards increased specialization and efficiency
• Engage team members in career development conversations to promote growth and skill
• Collaborate with external audit to reduce operational risk and ensure efficient service from audit
• Participate in health check and ensure service delivery meets standards
• Receive operational issues and escalations, and address them in a timely and efficient manner
• Actively participate as a Subject Matter Expert on committees for direct co

Erfahrung

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, or related areas
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. CPA, CFA or equivalent experience required.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks

Benefits

For New York, NY only: The salary range for this position is: $176,500 - $226,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including:

Hybrid Arbeitsmodell

BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and connection while allowing for flexibility.
