Director of Origination - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Aufgaben

• Lead origination of new business: identify ship-owner groups, asset management companies and other conventional maritime and offshore participants to generate and raise debt, equity financing, M&A and restructuring.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships: shipping companies, private equity, banks, direct lending firms, private equity, leasing and asset management institutions, and institutional investors.
• Design financing and advisory solutions: propose structuring ideas, capital markets instruments and alternative financing tailored to maritime/offshore clients.
• Work with the wider Alantara team to develop pitch books, teasers, and investment memoranda focused on origination opportunities.
• Collaborate with execution teams (VPs, Associates, Analysts) to ensure smooth execution from origination to execution; provide strategic insight on deal opportunities.
• Monitor market trends in shipping, offshore, and energy transaction activities, and identify new segments or product ideas.
• Represent Alantara at industry conferences, seminars, forums, and client events, defining the overall growth strategy of the practice.
• Support revenue generation targets, manage pipeline, track origination metrics, and drive growth, build relationships, and execute solutions.

Anforderungen

• maritime/offshore or adjacent industries.
• Deep network in the maritime shipping ecosystem — ship-owners, financiers, technical advisors.
• Strong structuring and commercial skills: ability to design financing solutions, evaluate mandates for private equity, leverage (owners/operators), and technical advisors.
• Experience across multiple maritime markets, hybrid finance, client proposals and fast hand-off from project to evaluation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence senior clients and stakeholders; comfortable working in a cross-border environment.
• Interface with execution teams are needed.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: self-starter, proactive, innovative, and with strong operating in one of the leading investment banking platform. Experience in decision-makers. Opportunities within the business.
