Global Head of Equity Portfolio Management

Job Description

• Responsible for the Global equity selection, models and funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build equity portfolio models based on geography, sectors or factors that global DB can use for implementations
• Fundamental equity analysis on individual stocks to feed into equity screening process
• Effectively manage a team of equity analysts: Seek ways to improve and enhance the equity analysis process.
• Produce and maintain equity notes associated with the stock screening process, keeping abreast of company and market developments as required.
• Maintain notes within the appropriate database.
• Liaise with other portfolio managers globally to support them in large bespoke portfolios.
• Deliver strong investment process and rationales when it comes to equity portfolio construction.
• Aims (to deliver above benchmark performance over the long term (3 years) in a risk-adjusted way
• Monitor and ad-hoc communications (to explain performance and decisions taken) with CXOs and clients.
• To assist the marketing department with providing adequate marketing material and presentations.
• To adhere to, and maintain knowledge of, all applicable legislation, including relevant Statements of Principal and Code of Practice for Approved Persons and the Trustee Certification, and to be aware of how these apply to EFG.
• Treat customers fairly and act in their best interests at each stage by meeting the requirements of the Consumer Duty. Ensuring service is transparent, efficient and professional service.
• Hold briefs in the portfolio to other portfolio managers, ICX, etc.
• Support fund equity portfolio management, understanding the key constituents and market environment
• Demonstrate an understanding of each customer offering a decision-making
• Strong organisational skills for collating, analysing and filing client documentation. Having this at the fingertips of CXO.

Skills and experience

• Extensive experience of managing a global equity analysis and portfolio construction/process.
• Numerical or Economics Degree (2:1 classification or above)
• Demonstrable understanding of products and the regulatory framework
• Strong technical / digital skills – experience with SharePoint (desirable)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
• Economics background
• Ability to present data in a Meaningful way – using KPIs and charts for senior stakeholders
• Good IT skills, with particular knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Team orientated and able to develop effective working relationships
