YOUR CHALLENGE

• Global responsibility for assigned custodian and cash correspondent relationships, which includes:
• Active service management of Agent Bank relationships, conducting regular service meetings to monitor service delivery and to negotiate with clients.
• Due diligence, the active monitoring, and management of service provision to Bank Julius Baer's custodian and cash correspondent relationships to support and ensure service levels to the relevant clients and the bank overall.
• Negotiation and management of fees, ensuring understanding of costs, evolution, as well as value delivery and agreeing on future objectives and ways to improve for the future.
• Implementation to achieve cost improvements.
• Oversight of contracts, negotiation, and implementation of documentation necessary both for the bank and for regulatory purposes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and deliver on continued front-to-back process optimisations.
• Understanding of markets and agent developments, trends, and opportunities to Bank Julius Baer on an ongoing basis and to communicate the same to relevant stakeholders for dissemination to stakeholders.
• Maintain deep understanding of the custody banks and a strong ability to apply knowledges in internal advisory / consultancy to support business and client needs.
• Bank Julius Baer service delivery which includes:
• Develop expertise to be able to provide guidance to client-facing teams on clearing and settlement regulations; account opening requirements, market rules, service issues.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with all relevant internal stakeholders associated with specific correspondent service (e.g. client service, Investor, Trust, Custody, Operations, Compliance, etc.)
• Identify and manage escalations related to Agent Banks quickly and professionally and propose solutions.
• Respond promptly and effectively to any market-specific queries and escalations from Business customers, Operations, or other colleagues.
• Work in the team to support colleagues with matters related to Agent Bank queries, as required.
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives within Julius Baer as required.
• Undertake necessary steps with internal and external colleagues to remediate any identified regulatory issues or compliance-related matters to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Contribute to helping shape a culture of progress, enthusiasm and curiosity within the team and throughout the firm.

YOUR PROFILE

• Relevant experience in a Network Management, Financial Institutions, Relationship Management, or Account management supporting service delivery role in a banking financial institution facing role in a banking environment preferred.
• Demonstrated track record managing vendor and/or financial institution relationships internally, external, client-facing, or both internal, ideally related to custodial and/or cash correspondent banking.
• At least general knowledge of custodian, correspondent banking service requirements, across jurisdictions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to promote and demonstrate relationship management across stakeholder groups.
• Experience of implementing, leading, or contributing to the development and continuous improvement of operational processes, working across a matrix organisation.
