Legal Counsel
Sygnnum sucht in Zürich einen Legal Counsel, der die Bank in rechtlichen und regulatorischen Fragen im Bereich Digital Assets berät und bei der Produktentwicklung unterstützt. Der ideale Kandidat verfügt über einen Schweizer Jurastudium, fundierte Kenntnisse der Schweizer Finanzmarktregulierung und fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse.
Tasks
- Provide legal advisory services on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on product-related legal work
- Contribute to legal workstreams and projects relating to banking, regulatory and product-related initiatives
- Support the legal assessment, structuring, and implementation of new products and services according to applicable legal requirements and regulations
- Work closely with the product & development team
- Support management and internal departments on legal and regulatory matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Support the identification and assessment of legal and regulatory risks in business processes and decision making
- Ad-hoc Advise on legal and regulatory requirements in the daily business
- Review and draft of standardized as well as non-standardized agreements between the bank and clients as well as the bank and other third parties
- Draft, review and/or negotiate legal documents such as contracts, statements, agreements, policies as well as internal guidelines
- Support business departments in identifying legal and regulatory risks and identify legal and regulatory risks to assess compliance risk management
- Support internal legal training matters
Our ideal candidate
- Law degree from a Swiss university; bar admission and/or additional qualifications are an asset (e.g., LL.M.)
- Solid knowledge of Swiss banking and financial market regulation (e.g. FINMA framework, FiDLex, FinTax)
- Prior practical experience in banking, financial services, a law firm, or a consulting environment is a plus, in particular exposure to the structuring of investment funds, structured products, and/or financial services
- Strong analytical and drafting skills with attention to detail and legal accuracy
- Ability to work independently on assigned matters while knowing when to seek guidance
- Magnificent, solution-oriented mindset with an interest in innovative financial products
- Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are an advantage
