Department Overview
- The Operations Client Relationship Management role, as part of the OCRM team, acts as the key relationship provider for the wholesale sales and trading desk(s) within the UK with an aim to provide an effective and efficient service to managing client requests relating to business issues and their resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- The Operations team act as the principal point of contact for the clients’ day to day operational requirements.
- Produce and provide periodic day ahead messages, providing critical information to clients including deal activity, client activity and/or any operational milestones, or events including:
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and the regulatory environment, including their impact on clients, with a willingness to develop deeper expertise.
- Daily monitoring across the pre and post trade lifecycle to proactively resolve issues for key clients.
- Prepare high-quality client materials by meetings and in response to client requests.
- Summarise periodic client metrics collaborating with the Business Intelligence Transformation function to deliver MI requested by clients.
- Lead discussions and projects by organising meetings, partnering with key stakeholders and influencing the delivery of service capability relevant to operational service delivery.
- Develop a strong understanding of internal solutions and market tools that can be applied within post-trade operations.
- Support clients seeking to understand how technology and AI can optimise their operations.

- Strong knowledge of post-trade operations, settlement processes and reconciliation procedures.

- A genuine interest in developing a thorough understanding of the business and Nomura’s clients, as well as taking proactive approach to work at hand.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, as well as the ability to solve problems that come to hand.
