Operations Specialist (Fund & Digital Asset Operations) - 12-Month Contract

About the role

• As an Operations Specialist, you will support fund operations, brokerage and custody activities while working closely with investment, client coverage and technology teams.
• This role offers a unique opportunity to build expertise across investment funds, CMs, digital assets, operational controls and process improvement within a regulated innovation mindset.
• This is a 12-month contract position based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Operations

• Process fund subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and other investor transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate exceptions, discrepancies and operational breaks.
• Support NAV movement and fund accounting oversight activities.
• Coordinate with portfolio managers, fund administrators, transfer agents and other service providers to ensure smooth operational execution.
• Support fund launches, product enhancements and other operational initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal reporting, operational procedures and regulatory requirements.

Brokerage & Custody Operations

• Support client onboarding and account maintenance activities.
• Process, monitor and reconcile fiat and digital asset transfers.
• Perform daily cash, position and digital asset reconciliations and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely manner.
• Support custody, staking and fee-related operational activities.
• Prepare operational, regulatory and management reports.
• Monitor operational exceptions and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to support efficient and controlled operational processes.

Projects & Process Improvement

• Participate in operational projects and business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process management and automation.
• Support the implementation, testing and enhancement of operational systems and workflows.
• Assist in documenting operational procedures, controls and best practices.
• Support data quality, reporting and process optimization initiatives across operations functions.

Our ideal candidate

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in fund administration, investment operations, securities operations, banking operations, custody, brokerage operations or a related financial services environment.
• Understanding of investment funds, reconciliations, cash management and operational processes.
• An interest in digital assets and emerging financial technologies; prior exposure to digital asset or cryptocurrency operations would be advantageous but is not required.
• Strong Excel skills including data analysis, reconciliations and reporting; familiarity with Power Query, PLSA, Python, SQL or workflow automation tools would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
