- Mars Group is looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team on a permanent basis in London. Responsible for building your day-to-day around the different facets of the procurement sphere you will look to both increase business income through supply negotiation whilst ensuring compliance with the company's operating procedures.
- Ideally successful applicants will have experience working within the finance or related industries, and have a proven track record of driving changes in methodology as well as introducing fresh ideas to the business.
Your day to day
- You’ll work closely within the Procurement Department along with counterparties in the Finance and Procurement teams. Given your experience you'll be responsible for managing the following areas:
- Creating and maintaining strategic sourcing strategies for routine and strategic procurement services across our global enterprise
- Developing procurement policies and processes, while maintaining an awareness of risk mitigations
- Monitoring market conditions relative to strategic accounts, products, and pricing
- Engaging with key external stakeholders including third-party lenders or sellers, suppliers, banks and regulators
- Building strong relationships with senior decision-makers within the clients and suppliers organisations
- Mentoring and supporting new employees and junior staff within the Procurement Team
You must
- Hold a relevant degree in a related field, i.e. finance, procurement, banking or a similar discipline
- Have an understanding of UK Financial and regulatory standards and comply with
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism and the ability to work independently as both a team player and standalone contributor
Ideally you will have
- Knowledge in the areas of financial, commodity, banking, consulting, regulatory finance
- Developed familiarity with vendor requirements, systems, and process enhancement techniques
- Conducted market surveys, analysed results, and presented findings to senior stakeholders
- Developed tools and business processes that increase efficiency and reduce errors
