Proxy Voting Team Leader/Supervisor

Job Profile Summary

• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our proxy voting team.
• This role is suited for an individual with strong research and a demonstrable experience with the ability to perform due diligence analysis and conduct best business research.
• You should have extensive experience with investment risk management and analysis, including key performance indicators, security data quality assurance, and acting as a spear point of contact between our external stakeholders, while maintaining the proxy voting team as the foundation of both client and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight - Take a lead role in the end-to-end management of daily proxy voting obligations across Man Group's asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate proxy voting actions.
• High-priority, ad hoc issue resolution.
• Team Support – Provide day-to-day guidance, guidance and support to the proxy voting team, ensuring its smooth operation.
• Platform Operations – Serve as a main source of reference and troubleshooting for the Group. Stay current on platform updates, system changes, and functional information.
• Tooling Experience - Master an understanding of system operations and create test tools/lifelines in tools and implementing these in an efficient manner addressing to advancing the product.
• Data Quality & Controls - Over and enhance the security, ensure integrity, mitigate systemic issues and implement countermeasures, exception management, and audit trail integrity, migrate electronic copies as appropriate.
• Regulatory & Legal Compliance - Collaborate tightly with internal teams, monitor regulatory updates, implement policy updates, and maintain and implement of regulatory obligations. Maintain regular updates.
• Relationship Building – Build and maintain effective relationships with firm, internal clients for external stakeholders (firms’ committees, compliance, legal) or external platforms, systems, platforms, and external partner capabilities.
• Reporting & Governance – Lead the preparation of regular reports, and materials for internal governance committees and client reporting, on topics such as quarterly, quarterly and annual proxy voting procedures.
• Continuous Improvement - Proactively identify and implement innovations in the proxy voting process, enabling compliance, automation opportunities, and enhanced controls contribute to improve our platform.
• Professional Development – Maintain day update professional pursuits, ensure compliance with current requirements, and align yourself with regulatory and best practices.

Experience & Qualifications

• + X year(s) experience in investment banking, operations, supervising an operations function, or a related position in an investment firm.
• + Knowledge of at least one of the following: standard proxy, voting platform, FSE, or GSE Exchange, or equivalent.
• + Proficient in handling and usage: use and monitoring of proxy voting activities in proxy voting obligations.
• + Demonstrated experience establishing high standards of data quality, including reconciliation can exception management.
• + Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks (SEC, ICR, GDPR, EU UCITS IV and related regulation)
• + Sufficient knowledge of risk, proxies and risk management knowledge in practice
• + Familiarity with the US/DC/SEC/IECF securities framework and proxy voting rules
• + Experience in operational, workflow workflows, and/or financial investment projects
• + Experience completing to regulatory reporting and audit due diligence processes
