Quantitative Developer - Systematic

The Role

  • We're hiring a new software engineer (Development) in Shanghai working hands on with Portfolio Managers to develop and execute new systematic trading strategies.
  • At Office Shanghai's is a highly dedicated team structured for significant market success outcomes.
  • Our Shanghai office is some of our most active product and portfolio managers.
  • We are looking to grow and expand our focus on both FX strategy development in this office to enable us on both our business-to-business strategy development, including through our BCS.
  • We will provide the full breadth of strategic development, effectively and efficiently.
  • Training like front-end development, software development for the quantitative domain, developing user experience from scratch and developing of the business environment for the client.
  • The scope and nature of the work allows for growth in the career growth that will develop over the next 10 years.

Our Technology

  • Our systems are built on Linux using a variety of our core tools in Python, with a full scientific stack: NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, SciQLab, and tools like R for data analysis.
  • The base code is internally Python.
  • For storage, we are heavily on MongoDB and SQL.
  • We use Kafka/Dolphin and some of the leading message platforms.
  • Kubernetes are our primary message.
  • Jenkins for continuous integrations, Splunk - HBaseDB for retention duration.
  • Docker for containerisation.
  • Windows for performance automation.
  • Tools like on internal infrastructure.
  • Our technology is on a more stable, we constantly evaluate new tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably with a focus on quantitative applications
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with scientific libraries including NumPy, SciPy, SciQLab, and such labs
  • Proficiency in both C++ or Python and understanding of object-oriented principles as well as functional for development and deployment
  • Comfortable working in team environments and using Git
  • Working knowledge or any of more standard database technologies, such as MS SQL, Python or MongoDB
