Senior Analyst, London investment Operations

Purpose of role

You will become an integral part of a diverse trading and settlement team for both Equity & Cash Derivatives across the globe. The successful candidate will align closely with current relationships with Prime Broker, Custodians and Exchanges/Switches to initiate and manage risk for all trading, settlement and recovery processes.

Specific responsibilities

• Monitor, Analyse, Action and Report Daily Trading & Settlement Processes
• Work closely with the Trade Management and Settlement/Processing teams
• The primary responsibility is to work closely with trading and sales teams, performing and maintaining the new trade list.
• Contribute to the full trade lifecycle (create, match, confirm, settle).
• Solve issues that arise during daily operations with different clearing participants.
• Optimise communication and relationships with Exchanges/Clearing and Back Office Teams
• Solve day-to-day issues arising from the clearing and settlement process, collaborating with internal and external partners.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement projects related to clearings.
• Assist with implementing improvement ideas/new projects relevant to regional business.
• Continually seek to improve our onboarding process by identifying and mitigating risks, and collaborate appropriately with internal teams to support onboarding of new clients.

Skills & Experience

• Understanding of the market for post-trade settlement processing
• Highly proactive with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads and focus on key tasks.
• Ability to manage stress and prioritise in fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail and accountability for own work, together with a sense of responsibility, professional pride and awareness.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Strong understanding of technology relevant to trading, settlement and post-trade processing.
