Global Asset Management is the investment management business of the HSBC Group. HSBC GAM offers a wide range of products and solutions across asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives and more) to help our clients achieve their investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- This role will provide specialist expertise on AMRF's ETF and Index fund range and will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities that address specific needs both from internal and external clients
- Understand and communicate the structure of the buy and sell side in ETFs. Typically, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of processes in both the asset management and capital markets
- Develop and maintain relationships with investment consultants, wealth advisors and other intermediaries to grow and generate value-added solutions
- Work with the HSBC AM sales team across EMEA to manage and service client relationships and identify opportunities
- Proactively participate in the marketing of the ETF range by working with client propositions teams and product strategists for the creation of high-quality sales materials
Requirements
- Deep expertise in asset management or institutional distribution
- Proven track record of selling assets and managing client relationships
- Strong understanding of investment products and capital markets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Existing network of institutional or corporate clients is highly desirable
- Studying for or qualified to CFA, CIMA or CAIA; not a prerequisite
- Execution and understanding and expertise in the trading of ETFs
- Ability to travel regularly for client meetings and to attend French-speaking financial institutions
- The role will also involve client interaction and this holder may need to be able to abide by appropriate regulatory stipulations
- Due to immigration restrictions in Switzerland we will only be able to consider applications from Swiss or EU citizens from candidates holding a valid Swiss work permit
