Sr. Analyst- L1 Support Engineer - Data platform Cloud support

Job Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an L1/L2 support Engineer in the Northern Data platform cloud support team. This team is part of the IT Operations organization, which support the Technology operations across multiple clients. Team supporting technology stack includes:

• Redhat Openshift 4.x and Azure Red Hat Openshift.
• AWS services related to Openshift: ECS, Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), CloudWatch, AWS CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Block Storage (EBS)
• Microsoft Azure services: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Function, Azure Active Directory (AAD).
• Virtualisation (VMware) with distributed storage (NetApp / NFS Storage)
• OS and Linux administration (Redhat and Ubuntu)
• Networking & Security (Linux): Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Firewall, Load Balancers, VPN, DNS.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision clusters (Automation)
• Monitor ELB, ECS, data pipelines and log transfers
• Tech and data security monitor, investigate and alert breach
• Validate data sets and business aspects.
• Issue (Tickets) triage and root cause analysis (L1)
• Configuration and deployment of builds
• Coordinate with customer and/or operations/support team
• Platform and service dependency/impact analysis for changes
• Produce analysis reports for resolution timelines
• Partner with business, development and infrastructure teams

Primary responsibilities

• Front-end support for clients in Azure and AWS (Elastic Stack)
• Monitor the status and capacity of ELB, or other network resources
• Monitor and alert on dashboard
• Assist third parties in investigating client and infrastructure issues
• Monitor ELB in Azure
• Log, AWS, EBS and data platform in Azure
• Automate ELB, ECS, using PowerShell
• Monitor and response incidents for incidents tracked in incidents tracking tool
