Sr Lead, Anaplan solutions & planning platforms Pune/Bangalore

Position Summary

• We are seeking a practical and highly motivated Senior Lead - Anaplan Solutions & Planning Platforms to build the implementation, support, and release management, and client services of Northern Trust's modeling and planning suite using our native ecosystem across Anaplan: PPM Planning, Engineering Cost report, Resource Statement planning (such as rollouts, maintenance plans, and other operational factors).
• You will be involved in the ever-changing planning suite, and be a valuable talent with an established domain discipline, mature as well as strong problem-solving skills, and business practices within its scalable, controlled, and user-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Required Technical Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in Anaplan solution architecture, model design, Data Hub MSA, ALV, DM development, and deployment competencies, with a proven ability to apply Anaplan into high-performing business processes.
• Strong functional knowledge of PPM, production planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and financial cost management, with deep knowledge of Northern Trust's business and its solution pipeline capabilities.
• Experience leading end-to-end implementation and execution of enterprise planning platforms, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, product deployment, governance, and production support.
• Proven ability to design and manage analytics data integrations, refresh pipelines, ETL, and data analysis between all various elements of Northern Trust's system landscape.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with expertise in reporting analytics, controls, issue management, documentation, and application performance tuning.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, complemented by experience scaling large Apps through load-scaling and user-optimization (Users 500+ to 1000+) environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, establish best practices, quality reviews, documentation, and production support.
• Direct team members on best industry practices, model design, data management, performance optimization, and business governance.
• Create sustainable usability quality into each craft, rigorous testing, assessment planning, and resolution of all issues.

2. Strategy, Roadmap & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business owners and application development teams to implement standardization for office planning, resource initiatives, and strategic planning.
• Transform business needs into scalable Anaplan solutions that bring reporting scalability, business growth, business scalability, and reporting analytics.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by providing plans, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and recommendations.
• Lead roadmap features and drive alignment across enterprise-wide capacity plans, legacy mix, capacity, and technical feasibility.

3. Solution Architecture & Delivery Oversight

• Own end-to-end design and delivery of enterprise Anaplan capabilities across PPM Planning, Forecasting, CGAR, forecast/operational cost center planning, and resource management.
• Design scalable multi-year platform architecture and solution capabilities for Anaplan's strategic design processes, and module planning cadences.
• Ensure models are performant, scalable, maintainable, and aligned to Anaplan and enterprise technology standards.
• Drive architectural strategy, design, testing, UAT, implementation, documentation and production release cadences.

4. Platform Operations, Controls & Data Quality

• Strengthen production support, incident management, release governance, service controls, and performance and support observances.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities in streamlining planning processes, automate manual activities, enhance reporting visibility, and improve end-user self-service.
• Evaluate and apply modern planning platforms including predictive planning, advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, and integration automation where appropriate.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational controls, accountability, and business value-driven delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems.
• 10 years of experience in enterprise Anaplan functional roles, EPM Platforms (AFA/Planning) or related business technology environments.
