Als Chapter Lead Feature Engineer bei ING in Brüssel leiten Sie ein multidisziplinäres Team von etwa 10 Mitarbeitern und fördern die konsistente Lieferung sowie die Integration von Business- und Technologiezielen. Sie sind verantwortlich für die Talententwicklung, die operative Exzellenz und die strategische Ausrichtung im Bereich Enterprise Content & Automation.
About the Role
- A Chapter Lead Feature Engineer within Enterprise Content & Automation Remarketing (EC&A-Rem) joins and leads a multidisciplinary chapter of Feature Consultants, IT Integration, and Business Analysts.
- The Feature Engineer chapter serves as a center of expertise, translating business needs into scalable, and future-proof solutions while promoting consistency and collaboration across the organization.
- You are responsible for growing talent, strengthening product delivery capabilities, and ensuring alignment between business priorities, architecture, risk, financial objectives, and technology strategy.
- You will work alongside Product Leads, Engineering Leads, Architects, Risk, Finance, and global colleagues, with access to specialist expertise across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Feature Engineer chapter
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Feature Consultants, IT Integration, and Business Analysts.
- Support delivery teams in solving complex business and technology challenges.
- Promote simplification, maintainability, and operational excellence across the portfolio.
- Enable continuous improvement and support the adoption of AI-enabled practices.
- Strengthen cross-product delivery
- Act as the owner of the Feature Engineer craft within EC&A Rem.
- Enable consistent delivery practices across products and squads.
- Support audit remediation, vulnerability management, resilience initiatives, and improvements to controls.
- Contribute to governance forums through clear reporting focused on outcomes and data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to strategic transformation
- Support EC&A Innovation towards a product oriented operating model.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering or delivery teams.
- Strong people management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
- Experience building high-performing and engaged teams.
- Ability to drive change and organizational transformation.
- Foundations & Defenses across the organization.
- Experience with operational risk management, audit remediation, vulnerability management, resilience and investment governance.
- Strong governance mindset with experience supporting management reporting, KPI tracking, and executive decision-making.
- Strategic thinking
- Experience with the Dynamic Planning (DP) cycle and translating strategic objectives into delivery, staffing, and investment plans.
- Ability to create trade-offs between business value, delivery progress, risk exposure, and financial decisions.
- Passionate about developing people and improving ways of working.
Bonus Skills & Experience
- The ideal candidate additionally brings experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Knowledge of the EC&A domain, including content management, workflow, document processing, signing, archiving, or automation.
- Practical experience applying AI-enabled engineering or automation practices.
